On April 24, 2022, some of the AVI members participated in the concourse of elegance for vintage bicycles that was held in Saronno in the park of Villa Gianetti.
The first hours of the event were dedicated to the display of bikes and the welcome coffee at the artisan pastry: Dolci in Famiglia, then the participants went to the M.I.L.S. museum where they admired the relics contained within the museum relating to industrial production in the city of Saronno, lunch was held at the end of the morning.
The awards ceremony was held in the early afternoon as follows:

  • Best in show: cross frame bicycle 1889, Federico Corsi
  • Best bike before 1920: Metropole 1898, Luca Dolorati
  • Best classic bike from 20-45: Velocino, Franco Montolli
  • Best 19th century bicycle: Rudge 1887, Renato Baccanelli
  • Best racing bike-randonnèe 1900-1940: Terrot Mod. A, Marcello Fogagnolo
  • Best bicycle: Gladiator 1895, Davide Segalini
  • Best bike combination – dress: Chenkov M.A. – Peugeot, Lamberto Giacopuzzi

At about 4 pm the event closed with the usual greetings.
A heartfelt thanks for this event go to Alessandro Galli, director of the newspaper Biciclette D’epoca thanks to his help we were able to organize this event within some public area of the municipality of Saronno such as the park of Villa Gianetti and the entrance to the M.I.L.S. museum.
