Our Location
The Vertua-Robbiani palace
Built in 1821 by the noble family of the Counts Vertua, with the project entrusted to the Milanese architect Giacomo Moraglis, who thus created the first Milanese-style palace in Soresina.
The structure is therefore characterized by frizes ans arched masonry walls on the ground floor, with a large staircase leading to the main floor, closed at the beginning of the 1900s.
The interiors are still characterized today by large halls with frescoed barrel ceilings, the collection is housed in the part of the palace expanded in 1901.
At the end of the 19th century, the palace passed to the bourgeois Robbiani family of which Amilcare would be an enlightened industrialist and founder of the Latteria Soresina, the Credito Commerciale bank and many other industrial companies.
