We have the honor hosting in our collection one of the few Bianchi-Medusa Mod. A still in circulation, completely preserved, the bike dates back to the first decade of the 20th century.
Note all the details:
– original mudguards and relative rods,
– full-center pedals with cubital inscriptions marked “BIANCHI”,
– 40-32 hubs (number of spokes at the rear and front),
– nickel-plated rims still in excellent condition,
– handlebar with a “mixed” frenzy on the right a rigid lever and on the left a reverse lever for the rear brake.
Finally, last but not least, its history, in fact, during the discovery inside tube frame, a letter has been found, unfortunately nephew of the owner want it back and is still remain of her property.
The author was the very first owner, who wrote a moving letter in which the owner animatedly requested more money from the Regio Comune of Cremona, due to the fact that, as an order carrier, he had to travel 70km every day with this bicycle.
